David Coltart was elected MP for the Bulawayo South Constituency in the 2000 and 2005 elections and as Senator for the Khumalo Constituency in March 2008. Senator Coltart has been in office at a time of political and economic turmoil in Zimbabwe. Khumalo and the country as a whole have seen degradation in every sphere of normal life during the last decade. Senator Coltart is committed to developing the area and combating its problems.

However given the immense suffering of Zimbabweans a role which is almost equally important is to do what I can to relieve the suffering and poverty of my Constituents.”
